Spring is here and, with it, comes the good weather. That is why it is at this time of the year that literature fairs reappear in the streets of Galicia. One of the first is the Santiago de Compostela Book Fair, which will be held from April 27 to May 5.

This event is part of the programming of the Consellería de Cultura de la Xunta and in collaboration with the Federación de Librarías de Galicia, which have agreed to hold 13 fairs throughout the autonomous community. All will carry the slogan ‘Atopa a túa historia’ – ‘Find your story’.

The Santiago Book Fair is an event in the city that fills the Alameda Park with reading lovers. Books from different publishers, bookstores and organizations will be available at a special discount.

In addition, there will also be activities such as book signings, raffles, promotional campaigns, poetry readings, workshops and colloquiums, among others.

If you want to explore a wide variety of books from all over Galicia and Spain, you can attend this fair from April 27 to May 5, from 11:30 am to 2 pm and from 5:30 pm to 9 pm.

A union for culture

The Federación de Librarías de Galicia was founded in 1977 and is made up of more than 100 establishments throughout Galicia. In addition to the Santiago de Compostela Book Fair, they organize other literary meetings in other parts of the community. The first is the one in Ferrol, which will start on April 19.
