Santiago de Compostela will be the scene next July 27th of the Santiago Urban Fest, an event dedicated to urban music pioneer in Galicia. It will take place in the praza Roxa, from 15 to 23 hours, and thirty artists will participate.
This festival, organized by the City Council of Santiago in collaboration with the association Gallos del Norte, wants to give prominence to a musical genre established internationally and of which there is a lot of talent in Galicia.
In this way, it aims to highlight the value of emerging artists who do not have space in other types of events so that they can perform for the people of Santiago.
The Santiago Urban Fest line-up is made up of thirty different names among which there are both new faces and others with a great deal of experience. Claudino e Meiga Escarlata and DJ Affair will open the event, followed by Le33, Kue, O Pirata, Gapcloser, Was, Ibán, Shawn Frost, Kroser00, GFR, MKP, Entre Líneas, Gufi, Pauliti, Xosé Maseda, Sara OG, Daya, Sozat, Ser & Lima, Calles, Misokatos, Lidia Chao, Marck and Sibe.
The Santiago Urban Fest will be complemented by other activities, such as a beatbox show, a hip hop performance and an urban music session with Rey DJ. Likewise, Gallos del Norte will give a performance of GN Social, their pioneering proposal within urban art in which they work with people with special needs and at risk of social exclusion.
