Next weekend, November 18 and 19, the Xunta de Galicia joins the celebration of the Xacobeo of Rhythmic Gymnastics, an event organized by the Viravolta Club in Santiago de Compostela. The event will include the II International Viravolta-Jael Tournament and the III International Gala, with the participation of approximately five hundred athletes from different regions of Spain and Europe.

In a presentation that took place this Monday, the director of Tourism, Xosé Merelles, expressed his gratitude to the organization for the launching of this tournament. Merelles stressed the importance of this event, which will bring together in the city a significant number of people from all over the world.

In addition to enjoying the sporting competition, attendees will have the opportunity to discover and enjoy the wonders that Galicia and Santiago de Compostela have to offer as a tourist destination.

The Xacobeo de Gimnasia Rítimica will count with the participation of 40 clubs and around 350 participants on Saturday, followed by about 100 participants on Sunday.

During these days, individual competitions will be held, both female and male, as well as team and grassroots competitions. It should be noted that top-level gymnasts from all over Europe will participate in the International Gala, scheduled for Saturday at 5:30 pm, which will be chaired by Olympic athlete Carolina Rodriguez.

This event not only represents an opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their skills and talent on the international stage, but also stands out as a tourist attraction for those who wish to combine the love of sport with the exploration of the cultural and scenic richness of Galicia.

With the collaboration of the Xunta de Galicia, the Xacobeo de Gimnasia Rítimica is presented as a sporting and cultural landmark that promises to boost tourism in the region, showing Santiago de Compostela as a destination not only for pilgrimages, but also for high-level sporting events.
