14 May 2024 | Culture, Leisure, Tourism

The Plataforma Performing Arts Festival returns to Santiago with its fifth edition from May 16 to 25. This year’s program includes more than a dozen activities such as performances, workshops, meetings, exhibitions and conferences focused on film, music, dance and art.

The event, organized by Cooperativa Performa with the collaboration of the Concello de Santiago, is an unmissable event for art and culture lovers. It is characterized by the relocation of spaces and for animating the streets and squares of the city, with a program that surprises passers-by.

Among the venues chosen to celebrate this new installment of the Plataforma Festival are the NUMAX hall, the Centro Sociocultural Santa Marta, the Praza das Praterías, the Parque de Bonaval, the DIDAC Foundation and the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo (CGAC).

Benxamín Otero will kick off the festival on May 16, with a performance in collaboration with the Coro da Ra at Praza das Platerías at 8 pm. Two days before, on May 14, a performance workshop will be held by Ana Gesto. Its students will perform a sample of the work done during May 18 in the streets of the old town. You can sign up through plataforma.gal.

On the other hand, DJ Russ will be in charge of closing the festival with a performance in the Sala Riquela at 10 pm.
