The Lanzadeira Festival returns this Friday, August 22, 2025 with its fourth edition, an event designed to show the public of Santiago the potential of the new generations of local artists linked to the Centro Xove da Almáciga. The proposal, with free admission, will start at 7:30 pm and will bring together four projects that represent different currents of the emerging scene in Santiago de Compostela.
A platform to professionalize young talent
Promoted by the municipal department of Mocidade, Lanzadeira is not only a showcase, but also part of a training itinerary aimed at the professionalization of groups and soloists who rehearse in the municipal premises.
In recent years, the commitment to the project has been reinforced with a more ambitious production in terms of staging, sound and lighting, which allows the artists to take a step forward in their development and gain experience in contexts similar to those of the professional circuit.
A diverse poster for a moving scene
The program of this edition covers several genres and is structured around four names:
- Patrik, who will open the evening with a country proposal.
- Chiskeiro, in charge of bringing the energy of punk to the stage
- Ginko Biloba, who will continue with their alternative rock.
- Zeltia Irevire, responsible for the closing with tribal folk.
Several of these groups have gained visibility in recent months and have participated in events of special relevance for the city such as the Banquete de Conxo festivities, those of the San Pedro neighborhood or the Galeras concerts as part of the Festas do Apóstolo. Their presence in Lanzadeira consolidates a growing trajectory that combines experience in multitudinous events and continuous work in municipal rehearsal spaces.
A project with a vocation for continuity
Already consolidated as an annual window to the music that takes place in Compostela, the festival reaffirms the philosophy of accompanying creative processes from their early stages to their presentation to the public.
The collaboration between the resources of the Centro Xove da Almáciga and the specific technical support of the festival makes it possible to bridge the gap between the amateur and professional spheres, while bringing the local scene closer to the citizens.
