One of the closest options to the urban center is the river beach of Chaián, located approximately ten kilometers from the city. It is located between the municipalities of Santiago and Trazo and its recreational area extends on both sides of the Tambre River, connected by wooden bridges. Another very popular beach is that of La Tapia. Located on the banks of the Tambre, about 15 kilometers from the city, in the Concello de Ames. This beach is part of a recreational area with complete facilities, a lifeguard station and a beach bar.

A little more than twenty minutes from Santiago, in O Pino, is the river beach of A Tarroeira. Finally, you can choose the beach of Ribadiso, in the Concello de Arzúa. It has areas for barbecues and picnic areas so you can organize a feast with your family and friends. It also has several sports areas, a children’s playground and a bar. The numerous bridges over the river offer a beautiful panoramic view.
