The well-known Circo del Sol returns to Santiago de Compostela with its new show ‘Ovo’. The event is scheduled for January 3-7 at the Multiusos Fontes do Sar and promises to be a great way to welcome 2024.
The arrival of Cirque du Soleil marks the company’s 25th live production, commemorating its impressive quarter century of existence. ‘Ovo’ first premiered in Montreal in 2009 and has traveled to 30 cities in six different countries, initially as a Big Top show before transforming into a Pavilion show in 2016.
It focuses on the universe of insects, bringing them to life in a narrative that involves work, food, travel, games and struggles. The common thread of the show is a mysterious egg that awakens the curiosity of the characters, becoming an object that guides the plot.
One of the highlights of the event is its costumes, inspired by superheroes and armor. In addition, live music adds a vibrant component to the experience.
Tickets are on sale on the company’s official website, as well as on other platforms such as Ticketmaster. City residents will have the opportunity to enjoy Cirque du Soleil in different sessions scheduled over five days. The schedules are:
- Wednesday January 3, Thursday January 4 and Friday January 5 at 8:30 pm.
- Saturday, January 6 at 12:30, 12:30 and 20:30 hours.
- Sunday, January 7 at 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm.
Cirque du Soleil promises to transport the inhabitants of Compostela to a world of wonders and emotions, making their visit an unforgettable event.
