The festival ‘Cidade Imaxinaria‘ returns to Santiago de Compostela to put the finishing touch to the summer with activities for the whole family on September 7, in one of the essential leisure events in the city. The event will take place at the Cidade da Cultura de Galicia, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and will be completely free of charge. It will be attended by 11 companies from Galicia, Portugal, the Basque Country and Catalonia with a total of 13 varied proposals of magic, music, juggling, circus and games. In this twelfth edition, ‘Cidade Imaxinaria’ proposes to reflect on the present and the future through clown and theater shows that address issues such as the environment or the importance of living in the present. In addition, there will be installations and play areas where visitors can rediscover traditional toys and experiment with virtual reality. The Gaiás will also house sensory spaces for babies and a gastronomic area.
An event that has become a tradition
Cidade Imaxinaria’ is already a classic event in Compostela’s children’s programming and has brought together many families in the Cidade da Cultura throughout its eleven editions. On this occasion, the festival will feature circus performances, clown, juggling, aerial choreography and parades to the rhythm of ‘dixieland’.
