A Festa Pícara, an event dedicated to the children of Compostela

11 Jul 2024 | Culture, Leisure

The little ones of Compostela will be able to enjoy the summer thanks to ‘A Festa Pícara’, an event that will feature a variety of theater activities, music, puppets and workshops. It will arrive on July 23, as part of the Apostle’s Festivities of 2024.

The event will take place at the Eugenio Granell Park, from 12 to 8 p.m., where there will be areas reserved for eating, resting and breastfeeding. All to ensure the well-being of families during the day.

The program of this festival will begin with the circus performance of As Sircópatas, who will present their new work ‘Rogelio 3. La fêté’. From 1 p.m. onwards, the concert ‘A nena e o Grilo’ will take place, with Magin Branco, Teatro Ghazafelhos, A banda das Apertas and surprise guests.

After lunch, at 4 pm, it will be the turn of the storyteller ‘Unhas lentes como as as do avó’, which will be followed by the batucada Iguatuke and the animation ‘Danza dos paxaros’ by CanCunQuinqué. The day will end with two concerts, ‘Paio e o poder da música’ by Oviravai and Pakolas e as tripulantes.

A Festa Pícara’ will also offer several workshops, such as a plasticine art workshop and a seed workshop. In addition, there will be games made from recycled materials and traditional toys for all ages.

A day committed to accessibility

Inclusion is the backbone of this event. For this reason, there will be a sign language interpretation service on stage and support for those who need it.

Not only that, but at ‘A Festa Pícara’ there will be vibrating backpacks with an FM system that converts sound into vibrations so that deaf people can enjoy live music. Those with implants or hearing aids will be able to connect them directly to the sound for a more complete experience.
